i recommended the book two weeks ago after having read the book but not watched the movie (still haven’t watched the movie) that he should read it and he asked why, which i quite frankly find weird, but i also don’t really like watching movies in general (i don’t think there’s no such thing as a good movie, and i’m not the type of person to talk during movies, i just don’t often seek them out), and tbf, i only got the book because a yt video recommended it to me, after the movie had been announced
i really liked the book, and even though i read the book so i could have read the book before watching the movie, when i finished reading it, i felt satisfied and didn’t want to watch the movie anymore
i still might watch it, but honestly i don’t see why i would other than to know what the differences are from the book so i can discuss the story with ppl without confusing those who haven’t read the book aren’t going to
I finally FINALLY watched Project Hail Mary it’s absolutely peak
i’ve read the book and I think the movie was really accurate and Ryan Gosling is perfect for Ryland’s character. it was definitely a lot more accurate to the book than The Martian book/movie which was a good movie but compared to the book it kinda sucked.
I have a friend who’s read Project Hail Mary fourteen times and she loves the movie so yeah I would recommend it to literally anyone
reading the book does kinda make it make sense a little more I think though
edit: also whoever realized that Sign of the Times is a really good song for a sci fi movie is a genius
