2024 Election News - July 30, 2024

The last day of the election!

On the last day of the election, @eris has surpassed @kiwi in votes for second place. @auriali is definitely going to be elected by a landslide, but @eris and @kiwi are still battling for second place. If you haven’t already, make sure to vote TODAY.

Tonight at midnight the election ends. Tonight’s the night we’ve all been waiting for. It’s the culmination of all the six days of the election.

After the election, it’s certain that @auriali will be president. I’ve been thinking about what i’m going to do with this alt. If you didn’t know already, my main account is @luckythecat. I might change the name to “@2024wasteofnews” or something like that. If I did that, I probably won’t write an article every day like I have for the election but I might every-other day or something like that. When I asked @election what they were going to do after the election, they didn’t reply, but that’s understandable.

2024 Election News - July 29, 2024

Kiwi announces that he is fine with being in second place!

Today @kiwi said at this point it’s super obvious who’s going to win this election, and its not me and second place is enough for me in a recent post. As it is pretty obvious to everyone today, one of two final days in the election, @kiwi stated, congratulations in advance to @auriali and @perrin for winning the election! you guys both really deserve it! As @kiwi mentioned,@perrin is @auriali’s chosen vice-president.

Yesterday @blaze left the election, and now @kiwi resigned to second place today. I have to sympathize with @kiwi-at this point, it’s super obvious who is going to win the election. On August 1st, I don’t think anybody is going to be surprised when @auriali’s name is at the top of my post. Honestly, I don’t care who wins, because this whole election was for fun. All the alts and rivalry and this account, @2024electionnews, has been so honestly hilarious for me, so thank you @election. I feel that @auriali and her vice-president @perrin will be very good leaders. Even if you disagree with me, you can't deny that @auriali’s long speeches posts are very well thought out.

I hope all you readers have enjoyed this election like I have. If there was any responsibility that came with being the president of wasteof, it would be different. I’m glad there isn’t.

2024 Election News - July 28, 2024

Blaze drops out of the election!

Today @blaze, who was one of the prime candidates, announced I have come to the decision to officially drop out of the presidential election as a candidate. Later in their post he told us that the reason they dropped out was @auriali ‘s destructive policies, which blaze had warned about in another post. Also, @blaze endorsed @eris in her campaign.

With only two days left in the election it seems wasteof is focusing on things other than the election. @blaze’s post somehow only got three likes.

With her newfound endorsement @eris has become more confident. Her slogan is Choose Unity - Eris 2024. @auriali is still leading the election, with twice as many votes as @kiwi.

2024 Election News - July 27, 2024

So far in the election, more than forty-five people have voted, and unbelievably, there are only four days left in the election! @auriali, the prime candidate, has almost half all of the total votes.

Yesterday, @election had planned a presidential debate on Discord at 18:15 British Summer Time, originally suggested by @voteblaze2024. Mysteriously, @toaks posted, For those of you who missed it, don’t worry! There wasn’t a debate, 4 hours after when the debate had been planned. I would be open to more information about that.

Today @electauri2024 changed their name back to @wynd. Also, @blaze warned voters in a post that @auriali would make wasteof communist if she was elected. However, don’t worry voters! Only Jeffalo can do that.

Sorry @election but I will not be able to attend the debate, although I would like to so that I can write an article. I’m going to be doing stuff irl then. If anyone who is going to be at the debate can, please write a summary so that I can post it in my article on the 26th or the 27th.

2024 Election News - July 25, 2024

Only five days left to vote! Make sure to vote soon if you haven’t!

So far, @auriali is still in the lead, but by the 30th anything could happen. Some wasteofers are sure that @auriali will win, but with more supporters @blaze, @kiwi, @eris, or any of the other candidates could win. So far, there are 14 candidates and 9/14 of them have under four votes. Presumably most of them joined just for fun or as a joke, but the top five candidates are entirely serious about this election. @election ’s post has gained the top spot on the explore page, and will probably stay there until the end of the election.

Blaze: Very confident. I feel like winning this election would be a W for unity and community, considering it is one of Blaze’s core values.

Voteauri2024: If Auriali doesn’t win the election, I will change my pfp to ice spice for an entire month

Me: I will remember that. So, based on that, you’re very confident?

Voteauri2024: Yes, I’m very pleased with the campaign, and grateful for all the people supporting auriali. So yeah, I’m very confident that auriali will win this election.

2024 Election News - July 24, 2024 =^..^=

With more than 35 votes so far, this election is getting real!

So far…

@auriali is in the lead, with fifteen votes. She has more than twice as many votes as @kiwi , the next candidate with seven votes. @election’s post (below) is sparking a lot of controversy among wasteofers, and @auriali, @toaks, and @blaze have been putting a lot of effort into their campaigns.

Me: how confident are you that you will win the election?

Auriali: I have confidence in the people of wasteof that they’ll choose the right candidate, and I hope that is me. I am doing well at the moment it seems, however, I do not want to come off as cocky because I don’t like that mentality. I am silly billy who hopes I’ll become the president-elect through spitting straight facts to the wonderful people of wasteof.

Interview with @eris:

Me: How confident are you that you will win the election?

Eris: At first no, I’m not that popular here. But now I’m thinking I do have a chance to win, we’ll see.
