I had a brief scare for my schedule. As you all know, I plan to attend the next [LOCAL IRL EVENT] on February. However, the same day, my parents are planning to attend a gleaning event. Fortunately, they say that it's going to be over by 11. Game plan!

ENTRY 1.9.A

I've got a new plan for [PERSONAL MATTER]: instead of waiting 70 days for the Steam sale, I'll wait 25 days for the first Saturday of February. I've near-missed so many opportunities, it's almost suspicious . . .

I’m currently waiting for February 3rd. That’s 24 days/3.4 weeks/1.09xETS away. That may be far away, but it’s much closer than the March 16th (67 days/9.5 weeks/3.04xETS) objective that I was originally aiming for.

I slept. I didn’t have dreams about the fandom I’m interested in. Instead, I had a dream about a fanmade n-gon map named fishtail.

Also, somewhere in that dream, Mef showed up. I’ve been keeping score, and that’s the sixth or seventh time he’s appeared in my dreams in some form.

I did some solid research on that fandom this morning, and my ambient thoughts (which I have dubbed the “icelandic waters“) had a lot to say as I did it!

I came up with an explanation for the [THREAD EVENT]. It has to do with . . . well, it feels a little too sensitive to let out of my brain in such a raw state. But I do have a plausible explanation, and it ties in with [POINTER]!

P.S. I came up with an idea for a musical even worse than my last one. This one is so out-of-character that I'm not letting the slightest detail out!

I got the idea to draw something from my active Colubrine Sector thread, but my art style is not set up for the kind of stuff involved in drawing it. Oh well, I have a whiteboard that is currently almost full, so I can try anyways.

IN OTHER NEWS: The problem that I won a “small victory“ over in my Colubrine Sector thread during my holiday vacation was never actually settled. Today, I made a realization over it, and upon reflection, the problem only seems to have grown.

I have a slight aversion to poking my nose into the details of fandoms that I don’t partake in. My involvement in a fandom is a binary property; either I’m completely out of the know, or I’m a fan. I have the aversion partially out of fear that my imagination will take details from the fandom’s content and do something embarrassing with it.

In other news, my latest writing is very scientific . . .

I casually walk into the room. This seems to be some sort of break room. Hopefully this is the kind of room where I can put the final part of my plan into effect. I climb onto a couch […] and try to look like I’m sleeping.

A few minutes later, I hear the door open. I expect to hear a gasp, but instead, I hear, “[NAME]? What have you been doing?”

I open my eyes. It’s Josh. I say, “There you are. I was wondering if you were going to show up. Now we can put the final part of the plan into motion.”

“I was wondering why you’ve been drawing so much attention!”, Josh says. “There’s no way that the stuff you’re doing is going to fly under the radar!”

“It doesn’t need to go unnoticed,” I say. “In fact, the last part of the plan takes us into the spotlight.”

I’m currently making one of my longest writings yet. When I finish it, I intend to follow it up with a remake of one of my past writings, followed by another long writing. It currently adds up to 2,856 words.

The next time you find something intriguing and cool, open some sort of text input mechanism - a new .txt file, an IRC window, a word processor document - and record the things that your brain says as it says them. In hindsight, you will enjoy it.
