update: I made a bunch of petty gods
And I will be giving zero context
(Does getting into art and making characters normally do this to people? I’m not sure but if it doesn’t than I quite frankly don’t care.)
ARGGG IM TOO LOGICAL I NEED TO GO INSANE -my brain when it’s bored
(fr tho I need to get quirky)

some of the things I’ve learned about making art recently:
you should make your art in stages, trying to do all the parts as you go will make it way harder to get a good looking image and tends to make things messy
shaping, make a bunch of ovals or other simple shapes to outline the general shape of what you want to draw
outlining, draw the outline of the main parts of the thing you’re drawing, unless you need to make a really long straight line, avoid using the line tool and mainly use the pencil
coloring, add the base colors of the different parts of your drawing, and stick to some kind of pallette, throwing in a bunch of random colors usually doesn’t look good
detailing, add the smaller parts and details to your drawing
shading, add shadows to the drawing, the lighting should come from off page unless you have a light source in the drawing, light coming down from an angle looks much better than just straight down
using good references can help a ton, as they can help you correct your mistakes, just avoid tracing because then you’re just copying someone else’s art.
this definitely isn’t perfect advice, but I find that these can help a lot and I hope it can help other people who want to improve at art too.
Ok, I feel like there’s going to be a war about who started the war and why it started and a whole lotta other stupid shenanigans, can we all agree to just stop talking about it and just forget about that whole thing. Nothing good will come out of continuing this.
…they already stopped????? Why are you even bringing them up in the first place?????
idc, just stop the wars, please
My brother in Christ, Lily literally started the flame wars
i wish there was more positivity on wasteof.money
the flame wars are why so many people like @poprockisdead and @lily left/are leaving
started this one last night, finished it this morning, I decided to experiment some more with the design and patterns
wow, it appears I have experienced a significant drop in skill issue
I made another dragon, this took about 5 hours to make
special thanks to @eg for feedback and seeing this in its less good looking stages
the voices in my head are all saying different things and its odd, here’s a list of a few of them
me but yelling a lot for some reason
an existential one who keeps talking about things I already know and is gaining an ego because they know this, even though I keep telling them to shut up already
several of my own characters (mostly fine)
an iterator from Rain World
a computer terminal
some goober who wants to document what the hell is going on in my brain (probably influenced this)
some random shitposter
and probably more
biological neural networks are way more chaotic than silicon CPUs
burnt rice in mayonnaise
ratio, the worst food item is cold rice pudding
Mayonnaise is really terrible. It's the worst food item on earth IMO.

wasteof will NOT blow up
