I think portalpower was probably referring to the weird, grotesque side of furries which give me and others the creeps. It is a shame that this side of the community overshadows the chill side.

oof, if that was directed at the whole community I do agree it is out of line. But it is such a shame that a part of a community can cause unnecessary hate to the others.
of course, now you understand why i refuse to defend or foster comments like that

you’re right, the weird side sucks and does give the rest of them a bad reputation! that’s why a blanket statement telling people all furries are weird and should keep their expression to themselves (especially since op seems to be aiming that post at people on this site in particular) is something i want nothing to do with ^_^
