The feeling when you need to ask someone for a favor (nevermind it's easier to learn the skill myself) 
I got a CD player and amp to connect both record player and CD player but as a cruel twist of fate my speakers aren't compatible with the amp output, so they only get raw audio out without master volume. And I don't have a few hundred bucks to drop on speakers, this is all stuff I stole from the family
