some crazy anniversaries this year for me online:
da-ta Scratch account turned 10 years old in July
Auriali Scratch account turns 5 years old later this month
ta’s hangout turned 5 years old last month
makes me feel old (and grateful)
I've been getting into deftones recently (as someone who doesn't listen to a lot of metal) and went through their discography, so here's my ranking from best to worse cuz why not:
Koi No Yokan - 10/10 - Just banger after banger, no notes honestly.
Saturday Night Wrist - 9/10 - Pretty much just bangers as well, but man Pink Cellphone is awful lmao.
White Pony - 8/10 - Can totally see why this one was a huge deal when it released in 2000, super solid release, but Back to School sorta drags it down for me.
private music - 8/10 - Insane now they keep such a level of quality after 30 years.
Diamond Eyes - 8/10 - Some classics on this one like Sextape and the title track, feels pretty concise.
Around the Fur - 7/10 - It's their early more aggressive sound perfected, I think for me I prefer their more recent shoegazey sound, but this album is pretty good still.
Ohms - 7/10 - Some really dreamy production on this one, vocals sometimes feel a bit out of place though which is unusual considering their other albums.
Gore - 6/10 - Better than I was led to believe considering the lukewarm reception. Mixing is a bit of a mess but overall solid project.
Deftones - 5/10 - I found this one quite forgettable sadly. Not bad exactly, just a bit uninteresting overall outside of like 2 songs.
Adrenaline - 4/10 - A good debut, Bored it pretty good. But certainly was just a set-up for better things down the line.
happy to say that reform did not win!
I did a democracy today and did a postal vote. now I just have to cross my fingers that reform don't win and run my local constituency because if they do I am going to be PISSED
Since I’ve seen some more posts about Tame Impala recently here, thought I’d say my album ranking, some of my favourite songs, and also just generally me trying to convince you to listen to them outside of just Currents.
Currents
Lonerism
The Slow Rush
Deadbeat
InnerSpeaker
Eventually
Let It Happen
Posthumous Forgiveness
Apocalypse Dreams
New Person, Same Old Mistakes
It Might Be Time
Mind Mischief
Breathe Deeper
Endors Toi
Past Life
You’ve probably heard at least something from Tame Impala, like their biggest hit The Less I Know The Better, maybe you’ve heard Currents, maybe you’ve heard how Tame Impala is just one guy, Kevin Parker, who writes, performs, records, produces, mixes, and masters all of the music. It’s a pretty funny joke not gonna lie.
But regardless, they’ve got some absolute banger albums outside of just Currents. Here’s my thoughts on how to get into them if you want! If you like the pop styling’s of Currents, you’ll probably also like The Slow Rush, if you like that album, Deadbeat might be up your alley as well. If you like the guitar work on Currents, then you’ll wanna try Lonerism, if you like that, InnerSpeaker has even more of that for you. Overall pretty much their whole discography is worth a listen, especially Currents and Lonerism as they represent the projects pop and rock sounds the best.
didn’t want to bombard you with wasted onion today and felt this headline was a bit weaker, but i still find it funny/clever, so here you go:

I did a democracy today and did a postal vote. now I just have to cross my fingers that reform don't win and run my local constituency because if they do I am going to be PISSED

[DUE TO ISSUES WITH AWS TODAY, YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED AURIALI POST CANNOT BE CREATED]
