tl;dr: “yo im leaving wasteof, i actually like touching grass, still available on discord, cya” (paraphrased by @late)
Due to numerous personal factors, I have made the decision to leave wasteof.money, and the public-facing internet at large, indefinitely.
I initially didn't plan on making any kind of announcement because I didn’t want to come across as attention-seeking or performative in my decision. But honestly, leaving people in the dark feels like it’d create an adjacent problem, so I hope this can suffice.
You can continue to contact me in a few private spaces (Discord: kiwi.two, Steam: kiwitwo), or you can leave a message here for the time being. In theory, the only remaining public-facing places I plan to be active are YouTube (youtube.com/@kiwi-two), my currently in-development website (idk lol), and a couple of extremely niche places literally no one cares about. The ultimately unconstructive crapposting you’ve seen here is going to stop for a long while, however.
Just know that I'm doing well in real life and I intend to part on good terms. Having that forced two month break from wasteof honestly did wonders for my mental health so I’d like to keep that up. Ultimately, real life is something I'd like to spend more time enjoying, and this decision reflects that goal.
I hope you guys understand my decision, thank you for the laughs. I did learn quite a bit from my time on here and I’m not going to forget that any time soon.

potentially hot take: 2010-2013 was the best era of website designs
it’s clean and not super in-your-face but it also has personality instead of looking the same as every other website
discovered letterboxd today (it’s basically a social media network for movie recommendations, and the reviews don’t look like they’re written by three year olds)
i like how my four favorite movies are all films that are in no way associated other than that they’re all animated

just watched My Neighbor Totoro for the first time (I’m not big into anime or anything so I’m VERY late), it was definitely absolute cinema
if you have any general animated movie/show recommendations (anime or non, doesn’t matter) feel free to let me know!
“♫ it’s a lovely day to walk down the road, and if i ever stop singing i will explode- ♫“
“hey steven!”
“what have you done”
explodes
so i signed up for the digg relaunch to see what it’s like. if you’re unaware, it was reddit before reddit became reddit, and since… uh… people don’t exactly like reddit’s newer decisions, they’re trying to relaunch digg (with the help of one of reddit’s co-founders)
fine print that i don’t think was communicated as well as it should have been: the new digg isn’t actually out yet. by paying the five bucks, you’re not actually getting access to the new digg, you get access to a sort of private forum thing to discuss what the new digg should be like.
but it’s still kinda cool to watch the whole thing take shape! in case anyone here signed up as well, feel free to send me a dm there, im @kiwi2
i’ve never seen the show or anything, but the smiling friends end credits theme basically sums up what the inside of my brain sounds like at any given moment
currently trying to make an amateurish personal backup of OK KO on DVD because they never made a complete series box set, finished burning season 1 today
